Castings come out with a smooth but matte surface finish, and require significant hand work to bring out the perfect finish. Mac uses a combination of tools to further clean up the rough casting and to ensure that the intricate details are perfectly smooth. Some of the tools include: a felt polishing wheel, file, bristle brush, and muslin buff.
After meticulously cleaning the two-tone castings, Mac expertly assembles them, applying solder and heat to fuse the metals together. Once the solder cools, the metals are securely combined, forming a seamless and durable bond.
