
Henry uses a hart bur to cut the seats for the stones. A seat is essentially a small notch that is carved into the inner surface of each prong. When you gemstones are place into the seats, they help to hold them firmly in place.

Henry pushes the prong tips over the side stones to secure them in place.

The prongs are filed into their final delicate shape.

With skilled precision, Henry deftly employs pliers to delicately secure the stone in place, gently squeezing the tips of the prongs over the top.

A small amount of metal is then gently folded over the edges of each stone to secure them in place.

Henry drills the pilot holes on the inside of the shank before placing the stones into their respective settings with great care.

After setting the stones, the entire ring is cleaned, polished, and steamed.
