Mac lowers all the stones into the prongs using a wax dop. The tips of the prongs are then squeezed over the top of the stones using pliers, securing them in place for a lifetime.
When your gemstone is placed onto this seat, it helps to hold it firmly in place, preventing it from shifting or becoming loose over time.
Mac uses a hart bur to cut the seat for the stone. The seat is essentially a small notch that is carved into the inner surface of each prong.
The prongs are then filed into their final shape. The ring then undergoes a cleaning and polishing process, removing any debris and ensuring the metal and stones shine to their ultimate brilliance.
